Mechanical Engineer for Plumbing and Fire Protection Design

Now, we’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help us continue to raise the standard in animal care facility design.
This is a full-time in-person position and is available in either Norwich, Connecticut or Pensacola, Florida. This position does not allow for remote work.
Job Description/Primary Responsibilities:
· Design and draft plumbing, hydronic, and fire sprinkler systems.
· Support the design and layout of HVAC systems and ductwork.
· Perform detailed equipment sizing, code reviews, and technical specifications.
· Create accurate technical drawings and plans using Revit and AutoCAD.
· Calculate fluid flow, pipe sizing, pressure loss, and related engineering data.
· Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to ensure project compliance.
· Participate in occasional on-site inspections and project visits.
Required Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
· Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work.
· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and standard office software.
· Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
· A proactive, adaptable mindset and a desire to collaborate and grow within a team.

Salary & Benefits:
· $75,000-$85,000 (Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with skill level and experience)
