Trax is hiring a Software Developer to join our Data Migration team. This is an entry-level position for developers passionate about Data and Data Management. Developers at Trax play key roles in designing, installing, testing, and maintaining our software. TRAX offers a highly collaborative environment where developers work closely with team members and clients to solve problems. The Data Migration team is vital to our implementation process, ensuring data integrity and validation. Responsibilities: Understand database design techniques, relational databases, and be able to write select statements to retrieve information. Navigate interfaces and operate IDEs efficiently. Be familiar with at least one programming language such as Java, C#, or .NET. Modify and maintain software programs written by others. Create test transactions, run tests to identify errors, and ensure programs meet specifications. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise accordingly. Design or write program specifications based on consultations with supervisors, system analysts, other programmers, and end users. Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a background in programming or computer science/engineering. Strong knowledge of relational database schemas and SQL. Experience using modern GUI development tools such as SQL Developer or Eclipse. Experience programming software (Windows or web-based) that interacts with relational databases is preferred. Ability to travel 25% domestically and internationally.
