Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is actively seeking passionate and skilled Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to become a part of our thriving healthcare family.

At Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care, we pride ourselves on providing convenient, walk-in centers that treat a range of medical needs, including acute and chronic conditions, as well as occupational health and wellness services. Our centers are open seven days a week, ensuring our patients receive care when they need it most.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional healthcare to patients of all ages, addressing various acute and chronic medical issues. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team, diagnosing, treating, and educating patients while maintaining the highest standards of care. Full-time Providers work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour shifts during the week and alternating weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Provide compassionate and efficient patient care for individuals seeking health-related services.
Lead and respond to emergencies, offering comfort and reassurance to patients.
Adapt to a dynamic work environment characterized by fast-paced situations and varying hours.
Conduct thorough medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for clinic patients, including urgent care, occupational health, and more.
Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, and abscess drainage.
Ensure appropriate levels of medical care for patients.
Oversee onsite laboratories, x-rays, and other direct-access services as applicable.
Maintain clinical competencies and stay updated on practices.
Collaborate with Center Leadership to uphold medical policies and standards.
Involve in the creation and enhancement of policies to improve medical practices and patient satisfaction.
Contribute to in-service education for medical staff.
Suggest opportunities for growth and service enhancements within the Center.
Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and accreditation requirements.
Participate in educational programs for staff development.
Represent the organization at internal and external meetings as required.
Provide mentorship to junior medical staff to ensure high-quality services.
REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following:
Two years of experience as a Provider
State License as an APRN or Physician Assistant
Certification as an APRN through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
DEA license (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
DOT certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
BLS certification
